Basing out analysis on these following points:

- How does this relate to how we communicate? What can you deduce from the film's background?

- Give examples of how the concept presented in this documentary has been applied in our timeline (the last 5 years).

- To what extent, in your opinion, does technology have anything to do with the topic discussed in the documentary?

Technology’s Perspective on Art

It is apparent in our digital age how greatly Technology affects art. As humans, we are able to perceive a painting’s message through our own perspective. This concept applies towards artists when creating their work. However, over the decades paintings have lost it’s authenticity due to the amount of different messages passed around through technology. It is not considerably a negative impact, there are advantages from the widespread of painting through social media. A simple example is how technology allows a historical painting located in one specific art gallery to become more accessible towards the public online.

Being present in front of a painting is quite different from viewing it from our gadgets, we cannot admire the true beauty of each paint stroke and vivid colors created on these dated art works. Through silence, we are able to be one with the painting absorbing its original message that is carefully curated by the original artists. It is quite different from viewing it through a photograph, an example given directly by the documentary is when we view these paintings on a television right before or after watching a commercial, a somber painting can seem more lively due to what our eyes have witnessed beforehand. Another example is through social media, people may share images of these paintings and express their own opinions on what those paintings speak to them about. Us as viewers may be made to believe that the changed meaning is what the painter wanted us to feel. To put it simply, the constant sharing of information through technology often alters the originality.

This directly relates to how we communicate in our generation. Social media has advanced greatly which allows us to chat via online. Yet it is debatable whether these interactions are real or not. When chatting with people online, we cannot view their expression and truly see how their body language is like during a conversation. As humans, a person's tone in their voice and expressive behavior can change everything when interacting. In which shares a similarity when a painting is photographed and shared online. We do not view the deeper feeling we would get when seeing these works in real life. Therefore, in my personal opinion technology does have a grand effect on how art is viewed.
